Catch-a-Ride Program * is a volunteer transportation service through Johnson County Human Services that serves Johnson County residents who are 60+ years old, disabled, or in a life transition where transportation is unavailable.

The Freedom Mobile App allows customers to schedule a ride with their mobile phones. The costs per trip are $5 for the first 5 miles & $2 for each mile after. RideKC Freedom On Demand* operates as an on-demand, curb-to-curb or door-to-door service to older adults (65+), persons with disabilities and persons with low income. Residents who qualify for the reduced fare program (based on income) pay $3.20 per one-way trip. Trips will be scheduled by the rider up to seven days in advance and no later than two days prior to the trip. RideKC Freedom operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. Riders must meet one of these categories: older adults (65+), persons with disabilities or persons with low income. RideKC Freedom* is a shared ride program providing affordable curb-to-curb transportation for registered residents of Johnson County. A variety of passes, the full schedule and map are available online at Seniors, youths and riders with disabilities can qualify for half fare in many locations. It runs Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 a.m. The route also goes to the 3-Trails Park & Ride at Bannister Road and Blue Ridge Blvd. RideKC provides public transportation throughout Johnson County.Bus route 596 3-Trails-Edgerton Express, connects workers to jobs near New Century Parkway and Logistics Park KC, with multiple stops in Gardner and Edgerton.
